5 Ways to Support Healing

Updated: May 25, 2021

Tuning in to another person with compassion can help raise them up on all levels: physically, mentally, emotionally, and even energetically. This post describes five ways we can enhance our ability to help others who are suffering.

1. Separate From The Process & Outcome

We can partner with people to support their healing, and this loving connection can be very powerful. However, it is important to make sure our ego doesn't get intertwined with our desire to be of service. Healing is an inside job. On a deep level, we all know the way forward for ourselves, but we don’t completely know the way forward for another person.

2. Become A Safe Place

When you become more grounded and peaceful, it can help others calm down. In this calmer state of the body-mind, they will be more able to activate their self-healing potential and tune in to their inner wisdom.

3. Share Your Healing Experiences

When we share our experiences it can help another person feel not so alone in their suffering, and it can give someone hope that it is possible to feel better. Sharing that is healing and empowering comes from a place of humility, equality, and a true concern for the well-being of the other person.

4. Don't Take On Their Pain

Helping others is not allowing yourself to be a depository for lower-vibration energy, thoughts, and emotions. If you feel depleted when ministering to another, check to see if you are independent and grounded. It is also possible that your energy is waning because helping the other person has triggered or resonated with something you are carrying either consciously or subconsciously. You then have an opportunity to look within, process, and release what you are carrying.

5. Work To Heal Yourself

As we open up, more love can flow to us and through us and to all the other beings we encounter during our regular day. The more we become internally loving the more we can connect with other beings in this compassionate way. When we reside in our light- we can shine forth a beacon of love and hope for those in darkness. In this space, our works are grounded in Love and more powerfully healing for all we meet.
