Rowing is an endurance

Sailing is an art form

And that is life

When my dear friend Mick Canavan posted this poem on Facebook, it stuck in my head and inspired these thoughts:

When we row through our lives, it takes effort and endurance. We use our strength to navigate around and power through the obstacles in our lives.

When we sail through our lives, we tune in to the wind and waves, and we blend our efforts with these natural forces. We sense the movement of the whole, and we let these energies propel us.

When we have been rowing for most of our lives, we can become depleted and exhausted. During these times, it is important to know that it is possible to learn how to sail.
